Volunteering
If you have some time to spare, we’d love it if you could help us out! You don’t need any special skills, all we ask is that you are reliable.
Volunteering has many benefits – you get to meet new people, learn new skills and have the satisfaction of knowing what you are doing is making a massive difference to local families. We also value feedback from our volunteers on what we do and how we could make things better. You could help shape the future of the baby bank!
We are always looking for extra pairs of hands for putting our referrals together. You could be packing something as simple as some toiletries to a full New Baby and New Mum bundle.
If you’re a ‘people person’ and confident in promoting what we do, we might ask you to attend an event on our behalf.
If you do have any specific skills such as accounting, admin, social media, marketing or anything else we haven’t thought of, we need you!
If you’re interested in volunteering, please drop us an email at info@pembrokeshirebabybank.org including your telephone number and someone will give you a call.
Some quotes from our volunteers
“I enjoy donating time and energy towards a greater cause; making new friends along the way and I feel good when helping to change lives in our community which gives me a social responsibility rather than a financial reward. Do it!!”
Christina, 64
“Being a mother with a young child and understanding how expensive it is to raise a child I wanted to do something to help others who might not have the funds to buy all they need for their little ones. All the volunteers are friendly and approachable. Any time spared to help makes a difference as there is always so much to do!”
Naomi, 31
“I heard some friends at a Fitsteps class talking about it and thought it sounded like a very good way of giving back the support I received when bringing up my children. Also, as one of 6 children I remember how difficult it was for my parents to provide everything we needed. You get a real sense of satisfaction from making a difference to children’s lives.”
Jean, 71
“It is so rewarding providing beautiful bundles for families in need, it’s a chance to give back. Just try it! Donate some of your spare time, you’ll find you are helping yourself as well as others, it’s also a great chance to meet new friends.”
Yvonne, 60
