Pembrokeshire Baby Bank
Helping families in need in Pembrokeshire
ABOUT US
Pembrokeshire Baby Bank was set up in 2019 to help families experiencing financial difficulties. In 2020, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we were overwhelmed by requests for nappies, baby wipes and formula which were all in short supply. Thanks to the generosity of the community, we were able to fulfil these requests and continue to offer our service right throughout the pandemic.
Demands have continued to increase month on month since we opened, particularly since the fuel and cost of living crises, but we have successfully dealt with the additional requests and continue to increase the services we offer.
We help any family referred to us by a professional, without discrimination, providing they live in Pembrokeshire. We supply all kinds of items families need from baby wipes to full bundles for new parents (containing everything they need when baby arrives) and items of furniture. Much of what we pass on to families is donated to us by our community with the rest being bought from the funds we raise.
Some thank yous…
We are delighted to announce we have received £20,000 cost of living support funding from Pembrokeshire County Council.
We have been awarded £9,900 from the National Lottery. This is amazing news and will help us massively with our new premises – thank you.
A very big thank you to Puffin Insurance who once again donated a very generous amount to the Baby Bank.
